It’s all about networking
The word for today is “networking”. Even after one has gotten his or her business plan where it needs to be, there is the matter of financing.
Whether one bootstraps one’s business (i.e., self-finance) or borrows money from a bank, there is always the need for additional financing.
This is where the necessity of “networking” comes in. If you have a good idea, share it. In other words, look for investors (people who believe in your product or service). I spend some time everyday “networking”.
Yesterday, for example, I had lunch with Mr. Olexander F. Motsyk in Providence, Rhode Island. Mr. Motsyk happens to be the Ambassador from the Ukraine. Because of the people I reach out to every day, one of them invited me to lunch with just five other people. Moreover, because of the luncheon, I now have an invitation to have lunch with him in Washington, D.C. and an offer of help if I ever want to do business in the Ukraine. So, when I am ready to franchise my business, The Wholly Waffle
, it might begin in the Ukraine.
