Based on his military training and experience, he was hired as a Training Administrator by Master Security, Inc., a security company in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. area. Six months later he was promoted to the Director of Quality Control and Training/Contract Manager, in charge of the company’s security guard service contracts at 11 federal facilities. He left Master Security, Inc. in November 2013 to form his own company, Stryker Security, LLC, in Austin, Texas.

Today, Joshua is the owner of his own business - Stryker Security, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) security company that specializes in federal and private armed security operations and high threat personnel protection. Additionally, he’s on track and looking forward to graduation from the University of Phoenix, Austin, Texas campus, with a B. A. degree in business management in December 2014.

Since leaving the Army, Lloyd has provided private security to many high threat personnel, mostly in the Middle East, including the Vice President, Secretaries of Defense and State, Senators, Representatives, and Diplomats.

Stryker Security LLC is dedicated to fulfilling Joshua’s personal goal of ensuring that every soldier finds a job that enables him or her to best utilize their military skills in the civilian economy. To help achieve his goal, Joshua has created and trademarked Soldiers to Security program. Through the Soldiers to Security program, Joshua has developed a cost effective way to employ soldiers in the security field. He established connections with various nonprofit groups that sent him service members, and then fully certified them to perform security in federal facilities while upgrading their security clearance at no cost to the service member. Stryker Security, LLC intends to use the Soldiers to Security program to staff the security contracts awarded to it and provide qualified security personnel to other security companies in the area where the former soldier is located.
