Simply Regal Weddings and Events

Wendy Clausen served in the United States Marine Corps from 2007-2010 and achieved the rank of Corporal/E-4. Her MOS was 0431- Logistics and Embarkment Specialist; Logistics NCO.

Wendy will receive her Vocational Nursing Diploma and State License from American Career College in 2015. She intends to continue her education after graduation for her Bachelors in Business Management.

Wendy came up with the idea for her business during a conversation with her sister. “We have been bouncing around the idea for a couple of years now. The idea of event planning just came up in the most unexpected of conversations,” says Wendy. Wendy’s sister has event planning experience through the church and free lancing, and Wendy has her military experience being in charge of coordinating big events like Marine homecomings, training operations and barracks assignments.  “I told my sister that with the experience we have gathered cumulatively I felt that we both had been sitting on this business idea long enough and it was time to make it a reality. I am a firm believer that things don’t just come to you, you have to go and get it done for things to happen in life.”

And that’s how Simply Regal Weddings and Events was born. Wendy will be planning, designing, and coordinating events and has been concentrating on weddings so far.

“I would love it if once I get my business settled to be able to be a mentor for The Jonas Project,” says Wendy.
