Ron Crossley

Ron has extensive experience in executive level management, both operations and administration, in the employment and training field. He served as the Executive Director of the SELACO WIB (South East Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board) for 11 years. Previously, for 7 years, he was dedicated to the development, growth, and prosperity of the Mid San Gabriel Valley Consortium, an outstanding one-stop career center. He provided strong motivation to maintain a model-working environment for staff and created an asset vital to the community.

Ron is a Veteran of the United States Air Force proudly serving his country from 1965-1969.

Ron holds his M.B.A in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton. He also has his B.A. in Accounting from the same University. Ron was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.

Ron’s professional career spans many years, from 1972 – 2013. Early on, after his military career, he worked for the County of Los Angeles, Auditor-Controller as an Accountant/Auditor for 1 year; then as a Senior Accountant/Auditor for the County of Orange, Auditor-Controller, a position he held for 6 years. He became the Deputy Director of the Orange County Manpower Commission for 2 years before moving on to become the Supervising Accountant for the California Institute of Technology for 2 years. His career then took him to East San Gabriel Valley Consortium where he was the Assistant Director/Treasurer for 9 years; moving then to Mid San Gabriel Valley Cons.

Ron brings a myriad of skills to the Board of Directors for The Jonas Project. He has directed agendas and activities compliant with Board policies and directives. He has forged strong alliances with one-stop partners including economic development agencies. He has provided executive policy direction to the management of program operations, accounting, budget, MIS, risk management, human resources and procurement, and he was directly responsible for supervision of the executive level management team of the SELACO WIB.ortium as their Executive Director/Treasurer for 7 years, and finally becoming the Executive Director for the SELACO WIB for the last 11 years of his professional career.

Ron is a valuable addition to the Board of The Jonas Project, imparting his wisdom and caring attitude.
