John never served in the military, but looking at his resume its clear that he has some close ties.

He worked in the Space Business on Space Shuttle Main Engines, Rocket Engines for the Delta and Atlas Programs, started up the Final Assembly and Test Facility for the RS-68 Rocket Engine at Stennis Space Center and led the activity there.

He was the Production Programs Director for the Delta Rocket family of vehicles, which is how the Mars Rover got to Mars. He led the Global Positioning Satellite Business for Boeing, including Satellite Development, Production and Constellation Control Segment activity.

John spent five years in Australia as the General Manager for Boeing’s largest Defense business outside the United States, managing Airborne Early Warning Programs, Air Defense Programs, Helicopter Training and Maintenance Programs, F/18 Maintenance Programs as well as the F-111 Maintenance Program, as well as supported several Cyber and Intelligence Programs in Australia.
