John never served in the military, but looking at his resume its clear that he has some close ties.
John graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1980 with a bachelor in Industrial Engineering. “I’m a rambling wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.” For 32 years, John has been working with Boeing and Rockwell. He served in a management role for 31 years and an executive for 16 years.
John has an interesting history with Boeing working with HELLFIRE Missiles, GBU/AGM, Patriot 3, THAAD, Laser Maverick and Kinetic Kill Vehicles. He was the Operations/Quality director for C-17 Military Transport. He worked in the Space Business on Space Shuttle Main Engines, Rocket Engines for the Delta and Atlas Programs, started up the Final Assembly and Test Facility for the RS-68 Rocket Engine at Stennis Space Center and led the activity there.
He was the Production Programs Director for the Delta Rocket family of vehicles, which is how the Mars Rover got to Mars. He led the Global Positioning Satellite Business for Boeing, including Satellite Development, Production and Constellation Control Segment activity.
John spent five years in Australia as the General Manager for Boeing’s largest Defense business outside the United States, managing Airborne Early Warning Programs, Air Defense Programs, Helicopter Training and Maintenance Programs, F/18 Maintenance Programs as well as the F-111 Maintenance Program, as well as supported several Cyber and Intelligence Programs in Australia.
John is married to his wife of 35 years and feels fortunate to not have been kicked out of the house. He has two children that he says he’s trying to get off the payroll, and lives happily in Florida.
