January Highlights

JonasProject

January has drawn to an end and the first month of the year has kept us incredibly busy revamping some of our programs, forging partnerships with organizations that will provide more resources for our VOBs and making some changes around the office!

Our office space is generously donated by one of our mentors, and she has just put in more desks for us as we continue to grow!

Late last year, we brought on a Web Master, Oscar Ira, to help with our own website, but more importantly, he will be building websites for our VOBs! This is a great resource for them to use and will help them launch their digital presence much faster and for a lot less money. We are so excited to have Oscar on board. He’s fitting in beautifully and contributing not only to digital projects, but to TJP as a whole.

Our very own John Kelsall has officially retired from his full-time gig as the President and CEO of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and will be joining The Jonas Project full time as soon as his replacement is found. We are just going to put him right back to work over here helping us build our mentor team, finding more resources for our VOBs, and helping with donations.

We are still trying to hunt down a Treasure Hunter for The Jonas Project. That person would be our full-time fundraiser to help ensure we have the money to grow and provide services to our Veterans. We insist that they be a U.S. Veteran. Our standards are pretty high, so we haven’t found the perfect match yet, but we aren’t giving up.

That leaves one empty desk in the office, but that’s OK – we’ll leave that one for visiting dignitaries for now.

Stay tuned for the February update – we have a lot of exciting things happening!
